The director of AGERPRES opens the series of PHENOMENAL WOMEN events at Danubius University

The first event in this series will take place on Friday, January 21, 2022, in the Great Hall of Danubius University, and the first guest to open this series is Claudia Victoria Nicolae, general manager of the AGERPRES Press Agency. Mrs. Nicolae is the first woman to lead AGERPRES, the oldest news agency in Romania and the first autonomous agency in the country.

Claudia Nicolae graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Hyperion University, took postgraduate courses in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, but also in Security and Good Governance. She was an editor at Independent and Agerpres, the first national agency. Claudia Nicolae also held the position of adviser to the Minister of Interior from June to November 2018.

Also, Claudia Nicolae was a speaker at the TWO DEMOCRATIC SOCIETES IN TRANSITION Conference. EXPLORING THE DYNAMICS OF A POST-COVID WORLD, where she presented information relevant to the audience of students, professors and communication specialists present, the paper entitled "Regardless of the challenges of the times, news agencies must remain the most credible sources of information ,,.

Phenomenal Women is the way Danubius University aims to bring to the spotlight women who are a model of success in their professional fields, who have expressed a desire to share their story with the entire Danubian community, and with our guests. of success, the sacrifices that had to be made to reach the highest peaks in their professions, in their careers, but also as they were supported by their families, friends, colleagues on this winding road to success in life.

The poem "Phenomenal Woman", written by Maya Angelou, is eloquent to support the voice of women around the world, because every woman is phenomenal, just as she manifests herself in everyday life, with the support and admiration of all!

This is the message that this event aims to convey to the public, to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of professionally and personally fulfilled women, thus being designed to inspire both women and men who will become the leaders of the next generation in this global world we live in.

Phenomenal Women, the first edition, will take place in a hybrid system, both with physical participation, in the Great Hall (Danubius University, Corp ,, B ,,, floor 2), and in an online system, starting at 3 P.M. Covid restrictions limit seating, so to participate in the hall, the public is encouraged to register by accessing this link - univ-danubius.ro/pws-registration

Each participant who completes this registration form will receive by sms or email details of the exact conduct of the event, taking into account the health protection measures imposed by the current pandemic situation.

Future presenters in the series will include Professor Gabriela Mustata-Wilson, University of Texas-Arlington, USA, on February 15; and Prof. Irena Chiru, Dean of the Faculty of Intelligence Studies at the National Academy of Information in Romania in March.

The events of the Phenomenal Women series will be organized in collaboration with AGERPRES, the official media partner!

Danubius University and Local Police, partnership for the development of joint projects

President of Danubius University, Assoc. Dr. Andy Pusca signed a partnership agreement with the Galati Local Police, represented by the General Director, Petrica Hahui, for the development of joint projects aimed at organizing educational events as well as study programs.

The action is part of a larger project, which involves the involvement of the Danubius University Sports Club in supporting the organization of the ULTRAMARATHON 2022 sports event, but also the development of sports activities for our students.


Danubius University selects experts, scholars, and students from nine countries to serve as members of its International Advisory Council

The membership of the IAC will be composed of highly accomplished individuals who have distinguished themselves in their professional  and academic endeavors. 

The life experiences and the variety of backgrounds and endeavors of the members of the council will provide thoughtful and constructive oversight of the manner in which Danubius University will be guided into the future.  They bring demonstrated expertise in several different areas, including business, law, government, public relations, fundraising, technology, academic administration and healthcare.  As a private, entrepreneurial institution that intends to serve as an academic bridge between the East and the West,  Danubius is both philosophically and geographically positioned to connect these two spheres.
