The School of International Governance and Law at Danubius International University is pleased to present the second issue of the academic student journal GAUDEAMUS – Journal of Law and International Governance.
This new issue brings together academic contributions addressing contemporary and interdisciplinary topics, ranging from environmental protection and the legal implications of epigenetics to disaster prevention, human safety, animal protection, and the interpretation of criminal law provisions in relation to religious freedom.

The issue opens with the editorial “Beyond the Norm: The Anatomy of Vulnerability and Conscientia Humana”, co-authored by Associate Professor Dr. Cristina Elena Popa Tache and Associate Professor Dr. Corneliu Andy Pușcă, which presents a reflection on the human dimension of law, social responsibility, and the role of legal education in shaping a professional conscience grounded in discernment, empathy, and scientific rigor.
Through GAUDEAMUS, the School of International Governance and Law continues to support student research and the recognition of emerging authors within the national and international academic community.
