Danubius International University (DIU) expresses its support for the principles of the European Charter for Researchers, set out in Annex II to the Council Recommendation of 18 December 2023 (C/2023/1640).
The new European Charter, which replaces the framework adopted in 2005, brings together 20 principles, organised around four fundamental pillars:
-
Ethics, Integrity, Gender Equality, and Open Science;
-
Researchers’ Assessment, Recruitment, and Career Progression;
-
Working Conditions and Practices;
-
Research Careers and Talent Development.
These principles serve as European reference points for promoting freedom of scientific research, academic integrity, equal opportunities, transparency, professional development, and researcher mobility within the European Research Area.
Through this orientation, Danubius International University reaffirms its commitment to fostering an academic environment open to research, innovation, and international cooperation, where scientific excellence, diversity of perspectives, and the recognition and development of individual competencies contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
The principles of the Charter will serve as reference points for the gradual development and improvement of institutional practices, in accordance with the University's strategy, the applicable regulatory framework, and opportunities for European cooperation.
The European Charter for Researchers also serves as a reference document for the European Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) framework and the HR Excellence in Research Award.
