Contributions to the 8th International Conference Contemporary Challenges in Administrative Law from an Interdisciplinary Perspective

The work, co-edited by Prof. Steve O. Michael, Rector of Danubius International University, together with Prof. Hitomi Takemura (Japan), represents a reference volume for contemporary interdisciplinary legal research.

This editorial contribution confirms the visibility of Danubius International University and the Faculty of Law and International Governance in the international scientific landscape, by strengthening global academic dialogue and promoting interdisciplinary approaches in law, technology, and governance.

In the context of the entry into force of Order no. 3019/2025 approving the minimum national standards required and mandatory for the conferral of academic titles in higher education, ADJURIS Publishing House underlines its confirmed status as a scientific publisher:

The opening ceremony of the 2025–2026 academic year at Danubius International University marked a significant moment in the academic life of the institution. The event brought together faculty members and the university leadership, providing an official setting for welcoming new students and reaffirming the institution’s values. During the ceremony, the Rector and CEO, Dr. Steve O. Michael, together with the President of the Board of Administration, Dr. Andy Pușca, faculty deans, and vice-rectors, delivered welcome addresses, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, collaboration, and active engagement in university life.

The special guest, Judge Doru Benescu, President of the Galați Court of Appeal, delivered a keynote speech to the audience, highlighting the importance of legal values and academic training in the development of society.

The event also featured a retrospective video presentation showcasing the most significant moments of the 2024–2025 academic year, including students’ reflections on their university experience, events, and projects carried out throughout the year.

Today’s ceremony marks the beginning of a new stage in the professional and personal development of young people, opening new perspectives for growth and success.

Within the School of Human Advancement & Life Sciences, a leadership team has been appointed with the mission of supporting the development of educational programs and scientific research, in line with the demands of contemporary society and international standards of academic quality. The position of Interim Dean is held by Associate Professor Dr. Nicu Ionel Sava (https://univ-danubius.ro/media/attachments/2019/08/29/sava-nicu-en.pdf ), a university scholar with extensive experience in the field of life sciences and human development, actively engaged in academic projects and institutional initiatives designed to strengthen the interdisciplinary dimension of the faculty.

The coordination of the Department of Psychology and Social Work is entrusted to Lecturer Dr. Adrian Trică, a recognized specialist in applied psychology and social work, whose scientific and professional activity is dedicated to student training and the development of programs tailored to community needs.

Within the School of Media, Design and Technology, a leadership team has been appointed with the mission of supporting the development of educational programs and research activities in contemporary fields situated at the intersection of creativity and technology. The position of Interim Dean is held by Associate Professor Dr. Adrian Beteringhe, a university scholar with significant experience in the field of communication sciences and academic management, actively engaged in institutional development projects and interdisciplinary collaborations.

The coordination of the Department of Communication Sciences and Digital Creativity is entrusted to Lecturer PhD Candidate Florin Prunău, whose expertise is focused on new paradigms of communication and digital media, contributing through his activity to the adaptation of the educational offer to the demands of contemporary society. The leadership of the Department of Computer Science and Technology is assumed by Lecturer Dr. Valerian Antohe, a specialist with research activity in the field of computer science and modern technological applications.
