Full-time – full-time learning involves taking part in courses and seminars.

Part-time learning – part-time learning, case in which you only take part in compulsory application activities, teaching classes being replaced by individual study.

Distance learning - Distance learning is characterized by periodical tutorial meetings.  The entire communication between student and professor is made through the Sakai Platform, „Danubius” University is one of the few higher education institutions that uses, at full potential and in full responsibility this education electronic platform.

Important for Master students

According to the master program in the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the graduates of the master programs MFPP and GFASE are admitted to the internship of accounting expert at CECCAR (The Corps of Accounting Experts and Authorized Accountants in Romania) WITH NO ADMISSION CONTEST. GFASE graduates are also admitted to the Chamber of Fiscal Consultants based on an interview, WITH NO ADMISSION CONTEST.

Business Financial Management in the European Area

The mission of the study program is to train specialists capable of an interdisciplinary approach of economic operations, with an ability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative information referring to the financial management of entities.

Among the studied subjects we find: Direct Fiscality, Aspects concerning Fiscal Procedure, Compulsory Social Contributions, Sanctions and Appeal Methods, Customs Procedures and Legislation, Tax on the Income Obtained in Romania by Non-Residents and the Tax on the Branches of Foreign Companies Opened in Romania

Profound knowledge of the area of specialization and of the theoretical, methodological and practical developments specific to financial management in public and private institutions.

 Planning, organization, coordination and control of financial activity in public and private institutions

Integrated use of the conceptual and methodological apparatus, in incomplete information circumstances, to solve new theoretical and practical issues

Refined and pertinent use of criteria and evaluation methods to formulate value judgments and found constructive decisions in the financial activity in public and private institutions

Elaboration of professional and/or research projects, innovatively using a varied array of quantitative and qualitative methods in the financial activity in public and private institutions

 

Transversal Competencies

Performing some complex professional tasks, in conditions of professional autonomy and independence in the field of public and private financial management

Taking on some leadership roles/functions of the activity of professional groups and institutions concerning the management of financial activity

The specialty practical internship takes places during the first year of study, totaling 84 hours and during the second semester of the university year / one day per week 6 hours. The specialty practical internship takes places in public and private entities, with the direct guidance of the teaching staff in charge and of the tutors from the entities where the internship takes place, according with the agreements concluded with the university to this purpose. Public and private auditing and control

The mission of the study program is to train specialists in the field of auditing and public and private control with solid professional training, based on the consistent acquisition of the know-how of auditing and control and on the comprehension of the spirit that articulates into a whole all the sciences that ensure the specialty training in this field.

In this program students will study subjects such as: Financial Auditing Standards, Public Auditing and internal control, Management and auditing of human resources, Management and auditing of European projects, Procedures for the elaboration of working papers and of the financial audit file, Sampling in auditing, Internal Auditing of Public Institutions.

Shipping International Trade and Finance

The Program offers intellectually challenging courses with a diversity of learning experiences that aim to provide you with the skills and knowledge to operate competently within the maritime industry.
The Program is addressed especially to:
• Individuals wishing to work in senior management of companies in Maritime Transport and International Trade;
• Specialists and future experts in public administration departments related to shipping and international trade;
• Entrepreneurs interested of shipping industry

The specialized competences that master students can acquire after obtaining the master's degree in the specialization are:

Professional Competences:

- Profound knowiedge in the specialized field and within it the theoretica, methodoiogical and practical devebpments specific to International trade and finance from the shipping field;

-Pianning, organization, coordination and control in International trade and finance;

-The integrated use of the conceptual and methodological apparatus, in incomplete defined stuation, in order to solve new theoretical and practical issues;

-The nuanced and meaningful use of criteria and assessment methods to formulate value judgments and to substantiate constructive decisions in international trade and finance from the shipping field;

- Development of professionaland/or research projects, innovatively using a broad range of quantitative and qualitative methods in international trade and finance from the shipping field.

Transversal Competences:

-Performing some professional complex tasks, under conditions of autonomy and professional independence in international trade and finance from the shipping field;

-Assuming management roles / functions of professional groups or of institutions regarding international trade and finance from the shipping field;

-Seif-control in the learning process, the diagnosis of training needs, the reflective analysis of their professional activities.

The program of study for each student is selected from a carefully focused range of options, so that a course can be tailored to his/her previous or current work, or may be designed to widen his/her range of expertise.

The fields of academic interests are:
Commercial exploitation of ships, Techniques of foreign trade, International Economics and Trade, Analysis and policy of shipping markets, Shipping financing. Investment strategies in shipping, Marine insurance. P&I Clubs
The curricula included internships in the first year of study totaling 84 hours during the second semester.

Career Opportunities
The students will specialize in:
• the analysis of shipping markets and cycles,
• chartering and ship-broking practices,
• international trade processes,
• the selection of alternative shipping finance and investment methods as well as
• the development, implementation and appraisal of shipping related risk management strategies.

The students will also gain exposure to the structure and operations of financial markets and institutions, securities trading, corporate transactions, valuation and investment strategies.

Business Administration in Tourism and the Industry of Hospitality

The mission of the master study program Business Administration in Tourism and the Industry of Hospitality consists in training specialists with advanced knowledge in the field of business administration in tourism and the industry of hospitality, able to adapt to current requirements of the labor market in Romania and in the member states of the European Union promoting values based on creativity and  dynamism and, at the same, to attract students in the research, development and innovation activity meant to contribute to the extension of knowledge.

Some of the studied subjects are: Entrepreneurship in tourism and the industry of hospitality, Policies and strategies of development in tourism and the industry of hospitality, Promotion Techniques in Tourism, Management of tourist destinations, Local and regional development in tourism and the industry of hospitality / Tourist service consumer behavior, Prices and tariffs in tourism and the industry of hospitality / Legislation in tourism and the industry of hospitality, Cultural itineraries and European tourist systems / Culinary technology.
