Dr. Steve O. Michael, the Rector and CEO of Danubius International University, was a distinguished speaker at the Fourth Annual Conference on Higher Education in Romania: “Romanian Higher Education on the World Education Map.” The event, organized by DC Media Group, took place on May 21, 2024, at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest.
The conference addressed several key themes, including:
- The relationship between higher education and research in Romania: ongoing projects;
- The state of dual education in Romania;
- Digitalization of the educational process;
- Preparation for the new academic year: offers from Romanian universities for the new generation of students;
- The labor market crisis: business demands versus university solutions. How can Romania cope with the significant workforce shortage;
- Competitive advantages of Romanian education on the global education market: international partnerships.
In his speech, Dr. Steve O. Michael praised the initiative of the organizers, stating, “This conference is an excellent idea, as the higher education industry is so important.”
He also highlighted the following points:
- Improving the quality of education in the private sector;
- The importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors;
