Danubius International University was represented in Paris, during a series of working meetings with its partner, the Centre International de Recherches et Études Transdisciplinaires (CIRET), by Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Innovation and Interinstitutional Initiatives, Associate Professor Cristina Elena Popa Tache, PhD.
The working meetings with representatives of CIRET Paris aimed to identify and develop common areas of cooperation that could be further pursued for the benefit of the academic community of Danubius International University.
A particularly significant moment of the visit was the approximately 2–3-hour dialogue with Academician Basarab Nicolescu, father of transdisciplinarity and founder of CIRET Paris, a distinguished scholar who, decades ago, anticipated, through his research in theoretical physics, the existence of the odderon, subsequently confirmed experimentally, remarkably illustrating the anticipatory power of exceptional thought. The discussions opened up interesting prospects for the University in areas such as scientific research, education, transdisciplinarity, and the development of major international academic initiatives and events.
The meeting with high representatives of the French Red Cross also took place in an open and constructive spirit, with a view to developing international initiatives, research projects, and broader academic collaborations.
These endeavours represent concrete opportunities for Danubius International University and its academic community, including faculty members, researchers, and students in fields such as educational sciences, life sciences (particularly psychology), international governance, and law in a broad sense.
Danubius International University thus continues to develop international partnerships and to build new bridges of cooperation between the Romanian academic environment and prestigious institutions within the international academic community.
