Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs

Danubius International University announces the opening of the recruitment process for the position of Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, a senior leadership role carried out full-time, at the university’s campus in Galați.

The position involves the strategic coordination of the university’s academic activities, the development and implementation of academic policies, the supervision of study programs, collaboration with deans and academic structures, as well as ensuring compliance with ARACIS standards and national legislation. Mandate

The mandate is valid until the year 2030, subject to satisfactory annual reevaluation.

Candidate Profile

  • Doctoral degree (PhD)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in higher education
  • Academic rank: Associate Professor or Full Professor
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching, research, and academic coordination
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management skills
  • Knowledge of higher education legislation and ARACIS standards
  • Mandatory proficiency in Romanian and English
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including activities outside standard working hours

Contract Details

  • Salary range: 12000 – 18000 lei gross / month
  • Meal vouchers: 25 lei / working day.
  • Estimated start date: 1 October 2026

Selection Process

  • Interviews: start immediately, ongoing until position is filled.
  • The interviews will be conducted in English.
