Graduates of the Danubius International College – Certification of an Educational Path Focused on Excellence

At the Danubius International College of Applied and Vocational Sciences, a new cohort of students successfully completed their training programs, marking the conclusion of a defining educational stage and opening significant professional opportunities.

Anniversary of the Danubius International University – Tradition, Identity, and Academic Vision

The Danubius International University celebrated its anniversary with a festive event held in the Aula Magna, bringing together members of the academic community, distinguished guests, and institutional partners. The program commenced with the official opening and the screening of the documentary “ANNIVERSARY OF DANUBIUS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY – THEN AND NOW – ABOUT US, THE DANUBIANS!”, which highlighted the university’s evolution and the defining milestones of its academic journey. The anniversary address delivered by Dr. Andy Pușca, President of the Board of Administration, was marked by a warm and reflective tone, evoking the defining stages of the university’s development and emphasizing the fundamental values that shape its identity — excellence, responsibility, and academic cohesion — as well as the enduring contribution of the university to the advancement of the educational and professional environment.

One of the most notable moments of the event was the intervention of Dr. Steve O. Michael, Rector & CEO of DIU, who delivered a deeply moving anniversary speech, reflecting on the university’s development, its achievements, and the values that define its identity. His address highlighted the importance of academic solidarity, visionary leadership, and intercultural dialogue in shaping a modern and dynamic educational environment.

The event concluded with anniversary messages from the guests, underlining the relevance and impact of Danubius International University within the landscape of higher education. The solemn yet festive atmosphere consecrated the occasion as a celebration of continuity, institutional maturity, and the ongoing aspiration toward academic excellence and recognition.

International Conference “BRIDGING MINDS AND SOCIETIES: PSYCHOANTHROPOLOGY FOR PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL WORK”

The International Conference “BRIDGING MINDS AND SOCIETIES: PSYCHOANTHROPOLOGY FOR PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL WORK”, organized by Danubius International University, will take place on 14 March 2026 in a hybrid format. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue among psychology, anthropology, and social work, providing an academic framework for the presentation and discussion of contemporary research relevant to understanding the relationship between the individual, culture, and society.

In line with these objectives and areas of interest, the conference proposes the following research themes:

  • Culture and the construction of the self
  • Emotional socialization across the life course
  • Critical perspectives on theories concerning the psychosocial profiles of colonized populations
  • Endogamy as a methodological and epistemological challenge in the study of historically marginalized communities
  • Work, productivity, and psychological experience
  • Bicultural identities and liminality
  • Psychosocial constructions of otherness within minority communities
  • Self-optimization and contemporary therapeutic cultures
  • Virtual communities and the experimentation of identity
  • Storytelling as a psychological and social practice
  • Advancing culturally sensitive assessment and intervention
  • Shifting analytical frameworks from individual pathology toward structural and systemic sources of psychological distress

Participants may deliver presentations in Romanian, English, or French and will have the opportunity to publish their papers in a special issue of the journal New Trends in Psychology. Participation and publication are free of charge, and abstracts may be submitted until 10 February 2026.

The First Issue of the Student Journal Gaudeamus – Journal of Law and International Governance

The publication of the first issue of the student journal Gaudeamus – Journal of Law and International Governance was marked by enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, academic responsibility, and a profoundly moving encounter between the student-authors and the practice of legal writing. The launch holds symbolic significance, representing the Faculty’s participation in the Danubius International University Day, which will be celebrated on February 13, at 12:00 p.m., in the Aula Magna.
