FDGI at the ESIL Teaching Corner Webinar on Diversity in the Teaching of International Law

The School of International Governance and Law announces the participation of Associate Professor Dr Cristina Elena Popa Tache as a speaker in the prestigious international webinar series “ESIL Teaching Corner”, organised by the European Society of International Law.

The event entitled “Diversity and Teaching International Law” will take place on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, between 14:30 and 16:00 CET, and will bring together academics and international researchers to discuss how diversity can transform the teaching of international law.

The webinar will address diversity from multiple perspectives related to teaching and classroom experiences, including cultural diversity, the decolonisation of legal studies, modern methods such as transdisciplinarity, the gender dimension, the geographical diversity of international legal practice, student inclusion, multilingualism, and the diversity of academic and professional backgrounds among teaching staff.

The invited speakers are:

  3. Patryk Labuda – Assistant Professor, Central European University

  5. Klaudia Szableka – Lecturer, University of Glasgow; Member, ESIL Diversity Advisory Board
  6. Liliana Tymchenko – Researcher and Lecturer, European Humanities University; Member, ESIL Diversity Advisory Board

The moderator of the event will be Giulio Bartolini – Professor of International Law, Roma Tre University; Member of the ESIL Board.

Participation in this event demonstrates the active involvement of the School of  International Governance and Law in international academic debates concerning diversity, inclusion, and the transformation of contemporary methods of teaching international law.
