ROMANIAN LANGUAGE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION SERVICES

The School of Smart Education and Innovative Teacher Training of Danubius International University organizes training and assessment programs of communication skills in Romanian for foreign citizens, in accordance with the national standards on the certification of language skills.

These services are addressed to people who want to:

• study in Romania;
• obtain a certificate of linguistic proficiency in Romanian;
• improve their level of communication in Romanian;
• carry out professional activities in Romania;
• apply for Romanian citizenship or right of residence, when the legislation requires proof of language skills.

Certificate of Language Proficiency

Danubius International University organizes evaluation sessions for obtaining the Certificate of Linguistic Proficiency in Romanian – level B1, intended for foreign citizens.

The assessment is carried out online and aims to verify communication skills in accordance with level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Exam structure

The assessment of language skills consists of four tests:

1. Understanding of the written text and grammatical skills

Duration: 45 minutes

The test aims to:

• understanding informative texts;
• identification of relevant information;
• correct use of grammatical structures;
• common and academic vocabulary.

2. Written expression

Duration: 60 minutes

Candidates write texts on familiar topics, such as:

• personal presentation;
• correspondence;
• description of experiences;
• expressing opinions;
• drafting of functional texts.

3. Understanding the oral message

Duration: 30 minutes

Candidates listen to dialogues and audio materials in Romanian and answer questions about:

• the main ideas;
• specific information;
• the intention of the communication.

4. Oral expression

Duration: 15–20 minutes

The interview aims to assess the candidate's ability to communicate in Romanian in everyday situations.

Topics covered may include:

• family;
• profession;
• studies;
• daily activities;
• travel;
• culture;
• plans for the future.

Service packages

In order to meet the needs of different categories of learners, Danubius International University offers three training and certification options.

Description of the packages

Package I – Online Testing

This package is intended for people who already have communication skills in Romanian and only want their evaluation and certification.

Includes:        

• online assessment;
• the four examination tests;
• issuance of the certificate, under the conditions of passing the exam.

Fee: 600 lei

Package II – 30-hour online course + test

This program is recommended for candidates who have basic knowledge of the Romanian language and want to strengthen their skills before taking the exam.

The program includes:

• 30 hours of synchronous training;
• digital material;
• interactive activities;
• mock exams;
• final evaluation.

Fee: 1,500 lei

Package III – 120-hour intensive course + test

The program is intended for learners who start at a beginner level or want in-depth preparation before obtaining the certificate.

It includes:

• 120 hours of training;
• oral and written communication activities;
• applied grammar;
• academic vocabulary;
• professional language;
• full exam simulations;
• final evaluation.
