International Recognition for the School of International Governance and Law within the World Academy of Art and Science

The School of International Governance and Law is pleased to announce that Associate Professor Cristina Elena Popa Tache, PhD, Dean of the Faculty, has been invited to join the Steering Committee of the Existential Threats and Risks for All (EXTRA) Working Group, an initiative of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS).

WAAS is one of the world's most distinguished international academic organizations. Founded in 1960 at the initiative of leading intellectual figures, including Albert Einstein, J. Robert Oppenheimer, and Bertrand Russell, the Academy was established to bring together leaders in science, education, public policy, and culture to develop solutions to humanity's most pressing global challenges. Throughout its history, WAAS has brought together numerous Nobel Prize laureates, heads of state, distinguished scholars, and internationally recognized experts.

The EXTRA (Existential Threats and Risks for All) Working Group is currently developing an InfoHub dedicated to monitoring and analysing global existential risks, bringing together specialists in global governance, international law, artificial intelligence, security, climate change, and sustainable development.

The appointment of Associate Professor Cristina Elena Popa Tache to the Steering Committee represents international recognition of her expertise in global governance, emerging technologies, international law, and legal foresight. It also strengthens the international visibility of the School of International Governance and Law and of the University as a whole.

This appointment creates valuable opportunities for expanding international academic partnerships, participating in high-impact research initiatives, engaging with global expert networks, and enhancing the University's scientific and institutional profile in the fields of governance, law, and public policy.

Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Business (Taught in English)

The Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Business aims to educate highly qualified professionals capable of addressing the challenges of today's dynamic economic environment by developing the competencies required to create, manage, and innovate businesses. The interdisciplinary curriculum encompasses key areas such as innovation management, entrepreneurship, project management, digital transformation, business analytics, strategic marketing, financial management, corporate governance, and cybersecurity, thereby providing students with comprehensive and contemporary knowledge aligned with the demands of the global economy.

 

By integrating solid theoretical foundations with practical applications and research-oriented activities, the programme fosters strategic thinking, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to identify and capitalize on innovative business opportunities. Romanian Language Preparatory Programme for International Citizens

Danubius International University, through the Faculty of Smart Education and Innovative Teacher Training, offers the Romanian Language Preparatory Programme for International Citizens, designed for prospective international students who intend to pursue higher education programmes taught in Romanian. The programme is structured around four academic fields: Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, and Biological and Biomedical Sciences, providing participants with the linguistic competencies required for successful integration into the Romanian academic environment and for effective communication in both educational and professional contexts.

The programme is accredited and delivered as a full-time programme, with an annual capacity of 50 students and a workload of 60 ECTS credits. Through a rigorous academic approach aligned with European higher education standards, Danubius International University provides an educational framework that supports the acquisition of Romanian language proficiency while facilitating the academic and social integration of international students into Romania's higher education system, representing an essential step in their educational journey.
