New International Members Join the Editorial Board of Acta Juridica

The Faculty of Law and International Governance proudly announces the joining of two prestigious international scholars and professors to the Editorial Board of the journal Acta Juridica, whose academic and institutional contributions further strengthen the international profile and scientific excellence of the publication.

Mr Emilio José Armaza Armaza, Vice-Dean for International Relations and the 2030 Agenda at the Faculty of Law of the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, is widely recognised for his activity in the field of international academic cooperation and the development of university strategies focused on the 2030 Agenda and internationalisation.

We are equally honoured by the joining of Dr Federica Cristani, Head of the Centre for International Law and Senior Researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague, Czech Republic, a distinguished specialist in public international law, the law of state responsibility, international economic law, gender policies, and the regulation of cyberspace.

Her scientific activity is particularly distinguished through the coordination of major European projects, including within the frameworks of Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020, as well as through her involvement in leading European academic and institutional structures. She is currently co-founder and co-director of the Intersect Observatory. At the same time, she serves as an external member of the University Centre for Conflict and Post-Conflict Studies within the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague.

Her international academic career includes research and teaching activities at multiple European and international universities and research centres, as well as the position of Co-Chair of the ESIL Interest Group on International Economic Law during the period 2020–2023. Since December 2022, she has also been included in the list of external experts of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA).

The joining of these distinguished academic personalities reflects the constant commitment of the Faculty of Law and International Governance to the development of international academic excellence based on scientific cooperation, interdisciplinarity, and openness towards the major contemporary legal challenges.


The School of International Governance and Law represented at the 9th Edition of the International Conference “Contemporary Challenges in Administrative Law from an Interdisciplinary Perspective”

On 21 May 2026, the School of International Governance and Law once again had the honor of being represented at a prestigious international scientific event through the participation of two members of its academic staff in the 9th edition of the International Conference “Contemporary Challenges in Administrative Law from an Interdisciplinary Perspective”.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cristina Elena Popa Tache, Dean of the Faculty, participated as Chair of the Conference, contributing to the coordination of the academic proceedings and to the facilitation of interdisciplinary scientific dialogue. At the same time, Lecturer Dr. Iulian Savenco, Head of Department, served as a member of the Organizing Committee of this significant international academic event.

 

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers, keynote speakers, and all participants for the outstanding academic standard, professionalism, and valuable contributions that ensured the success of this edition of the conference.

 

We would also like to express our special gratitude to Prof. Dr. Cătălin Silviu Săraru for the coordination and organization of a scientific event of exceptional academic distinction and of significant national and international relevance.

Innovation and Resilience in Contemporary Research: The “Danubius Vitae 2026” Conference

The scientific conference “Danubius Vitae – Scientific Conference on Life and Human Development Sciences”, held on May 22, 2026, at Danubius International University, represented a significant academic initiative dedicated to contemporary research in the fields of life sciences and human development. Organized under the theme “Innovation, Resilience and Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Contemporary Life Sciences”, the event fostered interdisciplinary dialogue among students, academics, and researchers, highlighting the relevance of innovative approaches and integrated perspectives on current psychological, social, and educational phenomena. Participants enrolled in undergraduate and professional conversion programs were provided with the opportunity to present and capitalize on their research outcomes within a formal academic framework, under the coordination of the Moderators Committee – Psychology and Social Work.

 

In this context, the event contributed to strengthening the exchange of ideas and best practices among participants, while supporting the development of an academic perspective oriented toward adaptability and innovation in research dedicated to contemporary human development.
