The institutions visited included the "Valeriu D. Cotea" Technical College, "Gheorghe Tattarescu" High School of Arts, and "Traian Vuia" Technical College of Automotive.

Satellite Event Dedicated to Psycho-Oncology, 5th Edition – The Intersection of Psychology, Medicine, and Sociology

On Thursday, May 8th, Danubius International University hosted the satellite event of the conference entitled "Psycho-Oncology: The Intersection of Psychology, Medicine, and Sociology," organized in partnership with the Restart to Life Association. The event brought together university faculty, practicing psychologists, and representatives of civil society in an interdisciplinary setting aimed at exploring the complexity of the psychosocial dimension of oncology.

 

The event was distinguished by the presence of esteemed guests, including psychologists Lidia Stoica (President of the Restart to Life Association), Amalia Tamaș, Viorica Mariana Uță, Ionuț Ivăncescu, and Ionuț Constantinescu. Also in attendance were Associate Professor Dr. Filip Stanciu, Dean of the Faculty of Behavioral and Applied Sciences, and Associate Professor Dr. Nicu Ionel Sava, Director of the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences.

 

The discussions underscored the importance of a holistic approach to oncology, emphasizing the critical role of psychological and social support within the therapeutic process. The active participation of students, psychologists, faculty members, and other professionals affirmed the growing interest in this complex field, which demands interdisciplinary collaboration and a profound understanding of the needs of oncology patients.

Danubius International University organized the educational fair Steps Toward the Future with openness and professionalism, an event dedicated to final-year high school students.
