On May 27, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM, the Faculty of Law hosted, in collaboration with the General Anticorruption Directorate – Galați County Anticorruption Service, the round table entitled “Corruption and Office-Related Offenses. Regulation and Procedural Aspects”. The event took place in the main foyer of Building A and was moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Ana Alina Ionescu Dumitrache, Dean of the Faculty of Law. The round table brought together academic staff, legal practitioners, and students interested in deepening their understanding of the topic.

Special guests – Chief Commissioner of Police Alexandru Frumușelu and Chief Commissioner of Police Angela-Mihaela Ene – experts from the Galați County Anticorruption Service, provided valuable insights into the investigation and resolution of corruption and office-related offenses. The discussions covered both normative and doctrinal dimensions of the phenomenon, as well as the procedural challenges encountered in operational practice. The event was supported by the Student Scientific Circle and the Career Counseling and Guidance Center, offering an excellent platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthening cooperation between academia and state institutions involved in the prevention and fight against corruption.
