Danubius International University proudly presents the participation of Professors Andy Pușcă and Cristina Elena Popa Tache at the XXI Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law (ESIL), held in Málaga, Spain.

Professor Andy Pușcă participated as a speaker in FORUM 1: “International Legal Professionals in Times of Geopolitical Conflicts”, held in the Aula Magna and chaired by Olga Butkevych, President of the Ukrainian Association of International Law, University of Kyiv.

The panel included:
Laurence Boisson de Chazournes, University of Geneva;
Andy Pușcă, President of Danubius International University;
Gearóid Ó Cuinn, Director of Global Legal Action Network.

Professor Andy Pușcă’s participation placed Danubius International University within a high-level international debate on the role, responsibilities, and challenges of legal professionals in an international context increasingly and profoundly shaped by geopolitical conflicts.

Professor Cristina Elena Popa Tache participated as a speaker in FORUM 2: “Emerging Challenges in Contemporary Conflicts”, held from 16:30 to 18:00 in the Aula Magna, which she co-chaired together with Professor Thomas Cottier, University of Bern.

Participation in Forum 2 formed part of a broader academic and institutional presence at the ESIL Annual Conference. Professor Cristina Elena Popa Tache also participated as Co-Convenor of the ESIL Interest Group on International Business and Human Rights, together with Nina Hart and Belen Olmos Giupponi, as a speaker in the Task Force on Underrepresentation and Membership, and, at the conclusion of the conference, presented the Diversity Advisory Body (DAB) report at the ESIL General Assembly.

Through these high-level academic and institutional participations, Danubius International University strengthens its presence within the European and international legal community and its contribution to contemporary debates on international law, geopolitical conflicts, the emerging challenges of contemporary conflicts, and the future of the legal professions.

Danubius International University is pleased to announce another outstanding academic achievement of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Governance, Dr. Cristina Elena Popa Tache, marked by the publication of a scholarly article in the prestigious CADMUS Journal. Co-authored with Professor Paul Shrivastava, one of the world's most influential scholars in the fields of sustainability and global governance, the article represents a significant contribution to the interdisciplinary discourse on conflict prevention and peacebuilding—an issue of paramount importance in addressing today's complex global challenges.

The Master’s Programme in Global Security and Governance Management, offered by the School of International Governance and Law at Danubius International University, is designed for graduates interested in international security, global governance, and organizational management within an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape. Delivered entirely in English, the programme provides an interdisciplinary education focused on developing the knowledge and competencies required to analyze global risks, formulate security strategies, and understand the mechanisms of international cooperation.
